Recent work

Lately I have been preparing for The Royal Watercolour Society’s 2024 annual Spring exhibition taking place from 29 March – 28 April. This year's theme is 'Transparency'. Find out more via Bankside Gallery.

Watercolour has been a medium that has always been treasured for its transparency. It is a medium that is particularly well suited for painting botanical specimens. It allows artists to obtain perfect colour matching by allowing the white or cream of the paper to glow through transparent layers of watercolour paint.

Six of my small watercolour paintings of gardens will also be showing at an exhibition with The Small Paintings Group at Mandell’s Gallery in Norwich from 20 April – 18 May.
