Gardens
When I was a child in Cumbria, one of my favourite things to do was to be in the garden on my own. I brought many of the stories and poems I had read to life there, so I have always been attracted to gardens to set my imagination going. Some formal gardens have a particular presence and I wonder if this is something left behind by the garden’s creator. A kind of haunting, maybe the gardener’s brush marks?
